Hello Everyone! Happy Hump Day and Happy March! 2017 has been off to a very busy and eventful year, but that is okay! I have been loving all of my weekends so far. Here is a quick recap of Nick’s Birthday Weekend.
FRIDAY: After work Friday my weekend was in full swing. Nick and I headed to the East Side to have a family Birthday Dinner. We went to Wing Wah which is a delicious Chinese restaurant. I saw my Mom for the first time in about a month. She went to China and just came back. We ate delicious food, sang Happy Birthday to Nick, ate cake, and my Mom brought me back some gifts from China. It was a good start to the weekend!
Afterwards we headed back to our home area and met up with some friends to celebrate Nick’s Birthday some more. We went to this place called the Yacht Club and it was my first time there. I would love to go back there during the day because the view of the place looked amazing. We got home around midnight and off to bed I went.
SATURDAY: Saturday started the early afternoon by going to the movies with some of my girlfriends. We saw 50 Shades Darker. The movie in my opinion was okay, it wasn’t great, but it wasn’t bad. Everyone says the books are way better than the movies, but I haven’t read the books either. Overall, it was nice seeing my friends and we went to a really nice theater with reclining seats. SCORE!!!
After the movies Nick and I went out to eat at Joe’s Crab Shack. I haven’t been there in about a year, but I got a delicious mudslide and ate some really good crab legs. Nick loves Joe’s Crab Shack so we always go there for his Birthday.
We ended the night pretty early and just caught up our shows: It is Always Sunny in Philadelphia and Workaholics
SUNDAY: Sunday was actually Nick’s Birthday! I started the day and went to Church with my Brother and Mom. We then had lunch at Andrea’s Garden which is one of my favorite restaurants in my home town. After I went home and caught up with my in laws.
After a few hours of resting Nick and I headed to the Detroit Piston’s Basketball Game! This was my favorite thing we did over the weekend! All I have to say is DEEEEEETTTRRRROIIIIITTTT BASKETBALL!!!!!Not only is this the last year at The Palace for the Pistons, but we went on RIP Hamilton night. For those, that are not familiar with basketball Rip was my favorite Piston and he helped win the World Championship in 2003-2004. The Pistons were seriously the best basketball team. We had an amazing starting five which included, Chauncey Billups, Rip Hamilton, Tayshaun Prince, Ben Wallace, and Rasheed Wallace. Going to the game brought back so many happy memories. I use to watch the Pistons all the time with my friends and I had all this Piston stuff hanging up in my room in college. We saw Rip’s Jersey and number get retired. It was so emotional and he gave and amazing speech. All of the Piston’s were there, including Larry Brown who was the former head coach. It was just so much fun and a perfect ending to the weekend.

Now we have two more days till Friday. What are you looking forward to this weekend? Do you enjoy watching sports? If so, who do you enjoy watching?
I hope you all have a great rest of the week!
